We've recently finished a big refurbishment which saw the interior take on a whole new look which gives The Blathwayt a more inviting atmosphere. Gone are the dark dowdy corners and in are the bright spaces and more space.

To add a new dimension.......we now have the addition of an Alfresco dining area which caters for all those who like the outdoors (and for those of you who like a smoke). This can cater for up to 40-50 diners/parties outside under the cover of the large canopies with the added benefit of patio heaters.

There is a bar area which serves both the bar area and restaurant. The area is arranged in different ways so as to cater for the varied clientele that use this establishment. There are the cosy nooks with sofas and easy chairs, bar stools for the more traditional and tables arranged throughout.

The bar staff pride themselves on a well kept and well stocked cellar which includes a choice of three real ales Bath ales Gem @ 4.2%, Butcombe bitter @ 4% & Cornwall's finest Tribute @ 4.1%.  For those connoisseurs of real ales we hold the ‘Cask Marque’. There is also a range of lagers & ciders to tempt the palate too.

We also hold a large selection of wines and champagnes to suit all tastes. It's one of those places you've got to see to believe.

The Blathwayt Bar

The planned addition of wireless internet will be a welcome to those business people who need a little respite on their travels around the county.

The Blathwayt is big inside, big on space and big on welcome. There’s even a sign over the open fire inviting people to feel free to put another long on the fire. As it was a hot sunny day, this wasn’t lit, but the sign seemed an encouraging invitation in a world where so many pubs are festooned with ‘Do not do this’ type notices.”
