It's hard to imagine what the Blathwayt has in store before you walk through the door. It has an atmosphere in which to relax and unwind and enjoy a chat with friends over a glass of wine from the vast list on offer or try one of our real ales.

Add to this the many tantalising treats you can chose from off the lunch or dinner menu. If that wasn’t enough to whet the appetite you have the speciality menu which opens up a whole new world into seafood.

Whether a family lunch or intimate dinner for two, the team at the Blathwayt will ensure that you have an enjoyable and memorable meal.

Aside from the simple pleasures of sitting around a cosy log fire in the winter you also have the outdoors to enjoy too with a large garden and new patio area overlooking the downs and the racecourse.

We also cater for our younger clientele too with a children's menu that Jamie Oliver would be proud of. With this and access to a new children's play area suitable for all ages they’ll be happy too. In addition, we have highchairs & baby change facilities available.

There is ramped access to the establishment where most of the downstairs area is on one level with a single step to 2 separate areas. We are able to offer disabled facilities via a fully equipped toilet.

We can also offer you the ideal break at any time of the year, for work or play, with our accommodation. You can choose from Standard, Deluxe or Superior style accommodation with the emphasis on comfort.

Although we may not be in the centre of Bath, we are just 10 minutes from junction 18 of the M4, we offer you the tranquillity of the countryside with the benefit of only being five minutes from Bath's many museums, antique dealers, theatre and shopping opportunities. Meanwhile the hotel provides the ideal base from which to explore nearby places of interest such as the Cotswolds, Stonehenge, Cheddar Gorge, Longleat House and Prior Park. We are also 15 minutes from Bristol & less than an hour to Cardiff.
